"I would like to thank the Regional Office of the Ministry in Jakarta, as well as the Population and Civil Registration Agency of Jakarta," said Arya Sinuligga, a member of the Executive Committee of the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI), as reported by antaranews.com. Arya stated that both players took the oath of Indonesian citizenship after a long journey from the Netherlands. With this, Thom and Ragnar will strengthen the Indonesian national team in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification in the Asia Zone second round Group F. Both players, who play for Dutch clubs SC Heerenveen and Fortuna Sittard, respectively, have the opportunity to make their debut in the second match against Vietnam on 26 March 2024 at My Dinh Stadium, Hanoi, provided the completion of the requirements they need.
