Inp.polri.go.id – Papua. Papua Regional Police Public Relations Chief, Senior Superintendent Ignatius Benny Ady Prabowo conveys that four missing medical center construction workers are still not yet found. However, initial investigation reveals that the four workers of Bruyugu Medical Center are allegedly washed away in Baliem River. "True, the four missing Bruyugu medical construction workers are still not yet found. However, search rescue are still continuing," says Benny quoted from Antara on Saturday (12/9/2023). According to the investigation reports, the case began since November 29th, 2023 when the construction workers were felt intimidated by the coming group of people to their working site at night. With growing anxoiousness, several workers then ran from the camp and allegedly fell and washed away in Baliem River. "Probably because they were scared, because from our reports, there were no Armed Criminal Group in the area," explains Benny. Previously, police members and locals found a worker, Waldermar Harinda (39) who was drowned and stuck in Baliem River. Waldermar was found on Thursday. "Our search is still on going with the help of locals who scour the Baliem River," said Benny. (ad/fa/pr/nm)
