The government is working towards legalizing 126 million land plots for public assets, confirmed Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency Hadi Tjahjanto, on Monday (15/1/2024). Providing an update on the progress, he noted, "The current completion of land registration in Indonesia stands at 110.5 million plots, and our target is to achieve 120 million land plots by the year 2024." In Central Java, he aims for 96% completion of 21 million land plots, with 20 certificates distributed today in the ongoing Pekalongan Regency registration program. Furthermore, he unveiled plans to modernize the certification process by transitioning from traditional to digital certificates, ensuring an elevated level of security for land ownership. "In transitioning to electronic certificates, the public can rest assured that their land will be secure and protected from theft or manipulation by land mafias," the minister concluded.
