The North Gorontalo Sub-regional Police deployed 328 personnel for the 2024 General Election security, says the North Gorontalo Sub-regional Police Chief, Superintendent Andik Gunawan following his inspection on election logistics distribution at General Election Commission (KPU) regional office. “The security for election logistics distribution at every polling stations will be scattered across 123 village and 11 districts. Two of them are in island areas such as Dudepo Village and Ponelo Kepulauan District and will be secured by 328 personnel and 60 assigned personnel from Gorontalo Regional Police,” said Andik quoted from Antaranews on Tuesday (2/6/2024). Moreover, he assured that his party will escort the logistic distribution from KPU warehouse to each polling stations. The security will also be tightened for logistics in sub-district election committee or village office. “We ensure that the logistics distribution and the election process in the coastal area will be performed strictly and optimally, particularly on the voting day,” said Andik. In his statement, Andik also urged people to maintain local harmony and security ahead the voting day. (ad/fa/pr/nm)
