INP Deploys 4,083 Officers to Secure AIS Summit in Bali

The Indonesian National Police (INP) has been gearing up for the Archipelagic and Island State (AIS)  Summit 2023, set to occur on October 10-11, 2023, in Bali, deploying 4,083 personnel. As many as  1,863 officers are to be dispatched from INP Headquarters in Jakarta, while  2,220 are from the Bali Regional Police, said Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan, the spokesperson for Operation Tribrata Agung 2023, on Wednesday (4/10/2023) Operation Tribrata Agung 2023, scheduled from October 8 to October 13, aimed at securing the AIS Summit, emphasizing ons prevention, law enforcement, and collaboration with the Interpol and cyber teams. "INP's security efforts will extend to providing support to the Presidential Security Force and the Joint Defense Regional Command II (Kogabwilhan II) in the designated zones, which will serve as venues for the activities and accommodations of the participating heads of state," he said, In emergencies, the Presidential Security Force will lead rescues, backed by INP if needed, following contingency plans in Operations Safe Archipelago I, II, and III. INP will deploy 160 personnel and vehicles for VVIP escort duties, the spokesperson added. Command Center 91 at ITDC Nusa Dua will serve as the central hub for monitoring personnel, security vehicles, and communication channels. because it is  equipped to detect potential security threats. AIS Summit 2023 focuses on blue economy development, climate change challenges, and strengthening bonds among island nations. (mg/ta/hn/nm)
