inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Head of Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps Inspector General Aan Suhanan declares his party is ready to secure the XXI National Sports Week (PON) in Aceh and North Sumatra.

Aan conveys that all preparation, from personnel to advanced equipment, is ready to secure the national sporting events.

In his official statement, Aan says that he has reviewed several PON venues and saw that all preparations are looking good.

On the other hand, the security plan for traffic engineering has also been developed to manage the traffic from escorting, participant routes security, to traffic engineering.

“We have received the information on what activities will be held during the event. Then we develop the security plan, both security for the event in general and security on traffic engineering such as escorting, route security, and parking issues,” explains Aan.

Furthermore, Aan states that he will deploy 380 of his personnel to the event location. The Traffic Corps personnel will have to work together with Aceh Regional Police and North Sumatra Regional Police in securing the event.

The XXI PON event will begin on September 8th, 2024. The event was presented by the Indonesian National Sports Committee and is held once every four years. Currently, Aceh and North Sumatra will host the national sporting event.
