The West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional Police issued a stern warning against thugs extorting business owners over the Eid al-Fitr bonus scheme, locally known as tunjangan hari raya or THR "We will take firm action if anyone is harmed and reports the incident," Superintendent Rio Indra Lesmana, the Head of Public Relations for the West Nusa Tenggara Police, said on Thursday (4/4/2024). He said that demanding Eid bonuses through force often involves threats, resembling thuggish behavior, which is a blatant violation of the law. "Demanding Eid al-Fitr bonuses through threats and thuggish behavior will not be tolerated and will be punished according to the law," Chief Rio emphasized.
