Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. One of Police Academy cadets named Helena Fiorentina Sinurat has been chosen to be the representation of Indonesia Police Academy for International UNCAC in Atlanta, USA. UNCAC is an event for essay competition which involves cadets from Southeast Asian countries. The essay would discuss about corruption Indonesia and how the government mitigate the criminal acts. Other than Indonesia, other Southeast Asian countries such as from Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam also joined in. In the competition, Helena discussed renowned corruption cases in Indonesia and how it impacts the wide public and what could be done by a cadet in Police Academy to prevent further corruption in Indonesia. “My motivation in participating on this competition is to improve my capabilities in English,” said Helena on Thursday (12/7/2023). According to Helena, she was also chosen to be the speaker on Youth Changemaker Event that will also be held in Atlanta, a prestigious achievement that could further push Indonesian Police Academy to World Class Police Academy. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Public Relations Chief, Police Inspector General Sandi Nugroho adds that the achievement of Helena has become the pride of Bhayangkara Corps and Indonesia. He hopes that Helena could be one of the prime examples for other cadets and police members. “As was said by INP Chief, all police members have to keep further improve their quality and continue to innovate in developing their potentials and talents,” says the PR Chief. According to Sandi, INP has prepared a reward for cadets and police members who excels, which hoped could fuel their spirit in achieving many achievements. General Sigit has also always giving his rewards and his highest appreciation to the cadets and all police members who achieved achievements. “INP and I myself as the Police Chief, representing the institution, would always give our highest appreciation to the cadets who achieved prestigious achievements,” says Sigit. Sigit stressed that achievements could be the motivation for all police personnel to give their best performance. “We have to continue to push our colleagues, particularly those who participated in academics, sport, or other sectors contest, to keep training, and we as the institution would provide them the space to help them focus and fuel their motivation,” adds Sigit.
