inp.polri.go.id – The Criminal Investigation Unit of Pringsewu Police secured a young man with the initials RH (18) from Pekon Mataram, Gadingrejo District, Pringsewu, Lampung, Tuesday (2/11/22) night. RH is suspected of raping a minor until she got pregnant. Head of Criminal Investigation Unit, Iptu Feabo Adigo Mayora Pranata, explained that the arrest began when the victim's parents report the case after they found out that their child, who was still a high school student, got raped until she became pregnant. After the report, the Pringsewu Police Women and Children Service Unit team immediately moved to conduct an investigation and asked for statements from witnesses. "We managed to arrest the suspect, RH, who is the boyfriend of the victim," explained Iptu Feabo, quoted from medinaslampungnews.co.id, Wednesday (2/11/22). To account for his actions, the police arrested the suspect under Article 76D in conjunction with Article 81 of Law No. 17 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Law No. 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection.
