inp.polri.go.id - Investigators of the General Criminal Investigation Directorate of the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Police have named a suspect in a suspected fraud case in the sale of MotoGP Mandalika. Director of General Criminal Investigation of NTB Police, Commissioner Teddy Ristiawan, said the suspect in this case had the initials IW, Chairman of the Central Lombok Tourism Promotion Board (BPPD). IW was arrested in Central Lombok, Tuesday (9/13). Commissioner Teddy stated that the arrest of IW is part of firm actions of NTB Police in handling a case. Before arresting IW in Tuesday, the police initially had summoned IW to get his clarrification. However, IW ignored the summons and police then had to carried out the arrest. “He is identified as suspect after we held an open case,” said Commissioner Teddy Ristiawan. As a suspect, he would be charged with Article 378 KUHP related to embezzlement. Based on the investigation results, the one who reported the case suffer a loss of Rp66 millions. Before moving on to the trial process, the investigator will made an arrangement to arrange a meeting between the suspect and the victim. “We are still trying to resolve this issue with restoravie justice by summoning both parties to make a peacefull agreement through returning the losses,” he said, If those arrangement does not work, the legal process will still continue.
