Following the arrest of a pornographic content seller, police revealed the turnover of the MAFA suspect who sold porn videos, including child porn videos through a Telegram group account. However, investigators are still coordinating with the banking sector to confirm the suspect's real income.

“We estimate that he got around 10-15 million per month since October 2023,” said the Director of Special Criminal Investigation of Metro Jaya Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Ade Safri Simanjuntak on Tuesday (7/30/2024).

He says that the police so far can only confirm that the suspect sold the pornographic contents due to economic reasons.

“For the motive, we can only confirm that he did it for money. However the tendency of him leaning towards child pornography is still being investigated by the police,” explains Ade.

Police had also requested for a takedown from the Ministry of Communication and Information for the Telegram group account. On the other hand, investigators are still studying the members within the Telegram group.
