Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Indonesia is ready to host the 43rd ASEAN High-Level Conference (KTT) in 2023. President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) emphasized this when directly monitoring the preparations by visiting three venues that hosted the 43rd ASEAN Summit. The three locations are the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), GBK City Forest, and Plataran Greenhouse. In the invitation to accompany the President's field visit numbered B-93/KSN/S/LN.06/08/2023 received by the Communications and Media Team of the 43rd ASEAN Summit, Friday (1/9/23), it was stated that the Head of State at the same time try a banquet for VVIP guests. President Jokowi's direct involvement in these preparations indicates the government's seriousness in making the big Southeast Asian event a success, which is expected to provide great benefits to the ASEAN region in the future. "Preparations have reached 99 percent, they are ready," said President Jokowi at the Media Center of the 43rd ASEAN Summit, JCC, Jakarta, Friday (1/9/23). The rehabilitation of the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), GBK City Forest, and Plataran Greenhouse has been carried out optimally by the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR). The JCC rehabilitation work consists of four zones, namely Zone 1 (lower ground) including the architectural work of Kasuari Lounge, Merak Room, Nuri Room, Maleo Room, Kenari Room, Kakatua Room, Lower Lobby Pre Function, Summit Room, Summit Lounge, walkway to Hotel Sultan, prayer room and toilets. Zone 2 (ground floor) consists of architectural work for the Assembly Hall, Main Lobby, Cendrawasih Hall and Corridor, Pre Function Hall A, as well as the VIP Room and toilet (Cendrawasih). Zone 3 (ground) consists of handling the Plenary Hall and corridors as well as the president area. Finally, Zone 4 (ground) install canopies, arrange drop-offs, front gardens, side gardens, toilets, and outdoor prayer rooms. Regarding the GBK City Forest area and the Plataran Greenhouse which are close by, the Ministry of PUPR supports increasing connectivity through road preservation work within the 4.67 km Gelora Bung Karno area. Then, the grass along the forest was watered regularly ahead of the 43rd ASEAN Summit to keep the grass around the GBK City Forest and Plataran Greenhouse areas growing green. It is known that the 43rd ASEAN Summit 2023 on 5-7 September 2023 at the Jakarta Convention Center will be attended by 22 countries, consisting of 11 ASEAN countries, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, Brunei Darussalam, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia and Timor Leste. Then nine partner countries were invited, including the Republic of Korea, India, Japan, China, New Zealand, Canada, Australia, Russia, and the United States (US). Then there are two more countries, namely Bangladesh as Chair of the Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) and Cooks Island as Chair of the Pacific Island Forum (PIF). Indonesia will also invite the international organizations United Nations (UN), World Bank, International Monetary Fund (IMF), World Economic Forum, IORA, and PIF. (ta/hn/nm)
