Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto has instructed the Ministry of Manpower to formulate strategic steps in response to the Constitutional Court's recent ruling on the judicial review of the Omnibus Law on Job Creation.
Following a meeting with the President, Minister of Manpower Yassierli stated that discussions focused on the sectoral minimum wage (UMS), with a two-day deadline for the ministry to present the formulated plan.
“We have closely reviewed minimum wage issues, which is our immediate priority,” Yassierli shared. He emphasized that the government respects the Constitutional Court’s decision, engaging in discussions with the National Wage Council and labor unions through the National Tripartite Cooperation Institution (LKS).
The ministry is set to finalize the UMS guidelines by November 7, issuing them as a circular or ministerial regulation to governors across Indonesia. Yassierli noted the priority on short-term wage policies while longer-term adjustments will address approximately 20 additional clauses mandated by the ruling.
