The Social Minister Tri Rismaharini stressed child protection from bullying is a must and have to be supported and carried out by all elements of the society. “This protection is important for all children, because not all is protected because some of them were left behind by their parents for all various reasons,” says Risma, Thursday (11/9/2023). Providing a protection for children from bullying or violence has become the responsibility of all elements of society. “We cannot stand idly, this has become our responsibility. Not just the parents, but their friends also have to protect each other, because could happen to anyone,” says the minister. According to her, one of the efforts to protect the children from bullying is by paying attention around children activities. Moreover, the protection to the children must also be provided to the orphans as their wellbeing is guaranteed in the Indonesian Law. “When the children don’t have parents, then the government has to step in as their replacement as in accordance to Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia 1945 Article 34,” add Risma. She reiterated that the wellbeing of children important and urged all parties hand-in-hand to protect them. (ad/ndt/pr/nm)
