Situations Gradually Returned to Normal: West Papua Police Chief

Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The West Papua Police Chief, Inspector General Daniel Tahi Monang Silitonga says the situation in Kramongmongga, Fakfak regency, gradually returned to normal. He states that those who have evacuated have returned following the attack on the regency some time ago. “Fakfak Sub-regional Police have reported to me that the situation has gradually returned to normal,” says Daniel on Wednesday (11/8/2023). He prays that the situation would eventually return to normal as the time goes on, so that government, school, and hospitals could run once more in Kramomongga. He emphasized that his party denied the issue of a high school burning in Fakfak some time ago. The incident purely was a fire accident and currently is on investigation. The fire, on August 15th, was reportedly started by unidentified group who also burned Kramongmongga Office District. The group also reportedly attack the head district of Kramongmongga, Darson Hegemur. (ad/my/pr/nm)
