The Head of the South Sumatra Regional Police, Inspector General Eko Indra Heri S, has ensured that there will be no increase in prices and hoarding of medicines in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic in the jurisdiction he leads. This was said by the Regional Police Chief after listening to the pledge or promise of the members of the South Sumatra Pharmaceutical Association (GP) in assisting the government in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic, in the Rekonfu room on the third floor of the South Sumatra Police Headquarter, Wednesday (07/21/21).
Inspector General Eko Indra Heri also said that until now there has been no hoarding until the price increase exceeds the highest retail price. "Until now, no hoarding has been found until the price increase exceeds the highest retail price. If it is found according to their promise, the team will take action," explained the Regional Police Chief.
General Chairperson of the South Sumatra Pharmacy GP, Saryono said the assistance provided was the result of donations from several members to assist the government in fighting the spread of Covid-19. "We provide assistance such as medicines, masks, hand sanitizers, multivitamins, and others to the South Sumatra Police Chief," he explained.
The General Chairperson of GP Pharmacy Sumsel ensured that GP Pharmacy Sumsel would not hoard up to increase prices beyond the highest retail price. "Through the oath witnessed by the South Sumatra Regional Police Chief, we ensure that this will not happen, and if we violate it, we are ready to take legal action," he said.
