Chief of North Sumatera Regional Police, Police Inspector General RZ Panca Putra Simanjuntak, led the readiness ceremony of 110 functions at KS Tubun Field, Tuesday (11 May 2021).   He mentioned that the police personnel assigned to prepare according to their function to support the emergency call 110 programs.   “Shortly, Indonesian National Police will launch 110 emergency call program as the precision program,” he said in the morning parade that was also attended by the Deputy Chief of North Sumatera Regional Police Police Brigadier General Dadang Hartanto and the high-rank executives of North Sumatera Regional Police.   In the 110 programs, the chief of North Sumatera Regional Police mentioned that people could use this service through any phone devices, and it is registered in Resort police (Polres) under subordination of the North Sumatera Regional Police. “In the future, any reports from the community to 110 service will be connected to nearby Polres. The 28 Polres will be ready to provide services to the 110 emergency call,” as he mentioned. Chief of North Sumatera Regional Police also mentioned that 110 emergency call are available due to cooperation with PT Telkom, and personnel has been prepared to provide services to any emergency calls. “The service of 110 has been available for so long. It is reactivated by North Sumatera Regional Police as quick service from Indonesian National Police so that people can easily contact the police anytime,” as he said.
