Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The victory of Indonesia’s U-23 national team and its advancement to the semifinals of the Asian Cup brought joy and pride for all Indonesians. The team has made a spectacular history by securing a spot in the 2023 U-23 Asian Cup semifinals.

The hard work of the U-23 Indonesian national team should be commended as the hopes of winning the Asian Cup and securing the spot in Paris Olympics is close to realization.

Of all the players of the U-23 Indonesian national team, there are two active police members that join the squad. They are the Second Police Brigadier Muhammad Ferrari and Second Police Brigadier Daffa Fasya Sumawijaya.

During his interview, Daffa said that he initially began his career as a football player until President Joko Widodo granted his wish to become a member of Indonesian National Police. After joining the Bhayangkara Corps, Daffa felt that he can give more to his beloved country through his magnificent skills in football and serving the people when he is in his police duty.

As a member of the police, he confesses that he is proud to win the quarter finals match just the other day. Bringing glory to his country and making him and his family proud.

“For my friends in the police, don’t shy away in showing your skills. Show them your skills and achieve many things as it would bring pride to you and the institutions,” said Daffa.

On the other hand, Ferrari also saw that winning the match is also part of his ways in contributing to the country. As a member of the police unit, he gave his thanks to the police leaders including the Indonesian Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo and Metro Jaya Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Karyoto.

Ferrari said that he and Daffa were even congratulated by their manager, Senior Superintendent Sumardji, for their achievement at the tournament. He hopes that other police members would be motivated to improve their skill to bring glory to the country.

On the other hand, the Indonesian National Police Public Relations Division Chief, Inspector General Sandi Nugroho also expressed his joy and proud for the contributions of Daffa and Ferrari. He hopes that Indonesia could make another amazing history by winning its first Asian Cup.

“Let us support and pray for our young Garudas in making a new history towards the 2024 Paris Olympics,” calls Inspector General Sandi.
