inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Chairperson of Indonesian House of Representatives Puan Maharani says that inclusive development must give space for women the opportunity to participate.

In her speech during the Yearly Meeting and Joint Meeting of Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) and Regional Representatives Council (DPD) explains that inclusive development is a development that provides a wide range of opportunities for all elements of society to participate and enjoy the development.

“Farmers, fishermen, laborers, teachers, civil servants, private company employees, and others, they all can participate and enjoy prosperity. This also includes women,” said Puan on Friday (8/16/2024).

She says the involvement of women in development was not only just for affirmation, but also as an awareness that men and women position are equal in building a country.

Puan continues that men and women have the same rights to move forward, prosper, and to work, also they have equal rights in work and public positions.

Therefore, she invites women in Indonesia to participate and build the country together.
