The Drug Crime Directorate of the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Indonesian National Police (INP) conducted reconstructions of the ecstasy production process at factories located in the Tangerang and Semarang regions, which had been previously uncovered. During the reconstruction, five suspects who had been identified were present.

Police Senior Superintendent Jayadi, the Vice Director of the Drug Crime Directorate, stated that the reconstruction was conducted gather further evidence and verify the testimonies.

"There were inconsistencies in the suspects' statements during the examination. Consequently, today we will utilize the reconstruction process to verify the details and strive for a more precise understanding," he stated in a press conference on Monday (12/6/23).

He further disclosed that the Tangerang crime scene reconstruction comprised a total of 86 scenes, while the Semarang crime scene reconstruction comprised a total of 36 scenes.

"It is possible that the number of scenes may expand as the investigation progresses," he added.
