inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Acting Governor of Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono asked all school principals and teachers to watch over their students in an effort to prevent bullying.

"I have asked all school principals to oversee their new students so they would not get bullied," said Heru on Tuesday (7/30/2024).

In the new school academic year, Heru hopes the bullying case would be deterred. In an effort to realize that, educational institution officials are asked to watch over their students.

Moreover, he also urged the schools to monitor the reading and writing skills of their students as there are some who are still unable to do so.

School officials also need to educate the parents about bullying. He hopes parents would also watch over their children and support the teachers in teaching them writing and reading at home.
