inp.polri.go.id - Kolaka. In combating online gambling, the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police successfully arrested two influencers with the initials ofAA (19) and GA (23) for promoting online gambling in instagram social media.

The Special Criminal Investigation Director of Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Bambang Wijanarko says that the two were found promoting online gambling when his party was on cyber patrol.

After the cyber patrol confirmed that the two were indeed promoting online gambling sites, police then conducted profiling on the two instagram accounts and made a move thereafter.

“Our members found the two girls promoting online gambling on their instagram account,” said Bambang Wijanarko.

Later on, police found AA and arrested her in East Kolaka Regency, while GA was arrested in Kolaka Regency.

Wijanarko reveals that the two suspects were paid for hundred thousands to millions rupiah for promoting online gambling sites.

“The price ranged from hundred thousands to million rupiah,” said Bambang Wijanarko.

Furthermore, following their arrest, the online gambling link was still attached to their instagram account and currently their account is being investigated by the police.

“The two suspects now are behind the bars of Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police for further investigation to reveal the online gambling network of this case,” conclude Bambang Wijanarko.
